Hi!
I also have troubles with Windows+MIDI+MidiYoke. I solve it with LoopBe (http://nerds.de/en/loopbe1.html).
The error should still be present (because Windows is not able to create virtual drivers) but it should work. Have also a look at this thread : https://www.iannix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=213&p=470 .
Hi!
In fullscreen mode, you cannot use keyboard or mouse (you can just move the score). It’s a presentation mode in order to be showed to audience for example. But you can’t also use keyboard (so transport) and it IS a bug :). I’ll add it to my todo list for next release.
Hi!
Well, we’ve put a lot of feature (like colors and texture) for the first release of IanniX because we want to show you that we’ve thought at a lot of stuff. But of course, everything is not working good… We try to make efforts but we lack time, I add this to the todo list, but it may not be solved in next release, sorry…
Thanks for this perfect bug report. I’ll correct this small bug (small because it’s easy to patch it:)).
Hi!
Yeah I still need these kind of stuff. The link of AvantGuy was cool, but the translation from JS to C++ was not easy (and need timmmmmme :)).
I’ve bookmarked your link and have a look in further weeks.
Thanks a lot!
Hi!
No way in this version. The trick is to make a very very very long curve (from (x,y)=(0,0) to (x,y)=(1000,0) for example) with a cursor sending the xPosition.
Hi!
Actually the IanniX way-of-thinking is to create a trigger that is trigged at the beginning of your score and sending your OSC messages.
With some objects on the score, double click the « Reset score » tool. The score display is reset and cleared but the previous objects are still in the Inspector’s object selection lists.
I assume that the object selection lists should be cleared as the objects no longer exist.
No problem. I found that article while researching for my own path-following music project.
I just remembered that the above article is about creating closed curves. You probably also want to be able to make open ended smooth Bezier curves. Here is the companion article that covers open curves:
I understand a manual is being developed, but for my own use and to help learn IanniX I have been developing some notes in a Google Document. I thought I would make it public as other people may find it useful.
Here is a link to the document:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YoEhgkPOlsr3-dNrQu8D-8tO9A1uKCLaHdKWP8bTCRQ/edit?hl=en_US
I included a small section on overall application use and document management. There is also, I think, a complete list of scripting commands, properties and events, derived from reviewing the source code. However, I have not added details of many of the command parameters or behavior yet as I have not figured out much of this myself yet! I`ll be continuing to add details.
Also, I should warn that the documentation may, and probably does, contain errors as I have only been working with IanniX for a few days myself. If anyone notices errors or has more information to add, please let me know.
Also, if the IanniX official documentation is nearly about to be released and my documentation effort is a waste of time, please let me know. 🙂
– Chris
Hi!
I’m glad to announce the first version of the documentation : https://www.iannix.org/documentation/ (open it in a new tab).
It’s not public yet, we have to read again everything ang we’ll package the documentation with the software.
To Chris : I’m sorry you started an other documentation… We’ve finished ours today, and we plan to release it at the end of the month. I’ll have a look at your work, I’m sure we can use some of your doc.
No problem. 🙂
I made that documentation for my own learning. Only later did I decide to make it available.

And what do you think of our documentation/reference?
Hi Chris!
I’ve been working a lot these days, so I didn’t have enough time to answer you. We have a project with IanniX that requires IannIX to be in 3D… You’ll see some screenshots in few days on Facebook/Twitter.
So, I’ll answer you at the end of this week!
Thanks for reporting this bug, added to my todo!
