Hi all,
Before I ask my question, just want to say that I’m totally thrilled with the new IanniX layout. Great job, and keep up the good work!
I’ve seen some useful posts on here about controlling objects from Pure Data, but I can’t quite seem to get a grasp for how to (or if its even possible to) create objects in IanniX from Pure Data (as well as supplying them with the requisite coordinate information etc.). I can successfully create triggers, but is it possible to create curves with multiple coordinates?
I’m pretty confident in Pure Data, but I’m new to IanniX script format.
Is there an easy way to figure out the mapping for these OSC messages?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A very light preliminary test of my live system since integrating IanniX. A basic overview of the system in the video is: IanniX to max device routed to Stillwell Moog Modular. Cam Theremin to NI Absynth. (both standalone) Launchpad to Novation official launchseq max device to Arturia Yamaha CS80v. PSP to PSPDSP via LAN. Ableton mapped standard faders to Korg Nano. Special thanks to protofuse for helping me with streamlining the IanniX max device, debugging and assorted issues.

Cheers.
A bit of clarification – I’m trying to use osc rather than midi for now. I am using iannixtomidi within max for live to convert osc to midi. I can see that iannixtomidi is set to receive on port 2001 – using ‘udpreceive’. I can see that iannixtomidi can send to iannix (on port 1234), but for some reason getting iannix to send on port 2001 creates a conflict. Must be a windows thing.
Stranger and stranger. I opened the max patch from the iannix demo patches, and it appears to receive osc from iannix. Within live the max patch doesn’t seem to work. Something to do with live options perhaps… ?
Thanks a lot… but very strange error!
Great! We didn’t test IanniX with Logic… so now, I can see that it works perfectly 🙂
Don’t hesitate to post us new videos (on the forum or on our Facebook page)!
Thanks! I don’t understand the whole setup & how IanniX is interacting but I hope you’ll continue integrating IanniX in your live system! Keep us in touch with your work with IanniX!
Hi!
First, thanks for downloading and using IanniX!
Yes you can create curves thanks to setPointAt command. I’ve attached an example to this post, please click on pd messages from left to right.
Cheers,
Yes this article brings us +1K downloads of IanniX in 3 days ^^
Hi!
The script editor is very new in IanniX but we don’t want to create a new Notepad++ 🙂 We’re looking for open-source editors that we can directly integrate in our code!
Hi!
We’re not forum-software-expert and we chose phpBB because it was easy to integrate for us. But in fact, to preserve the web design and because it was easier, we integrate phpBB in an iframe (a webpage in a webpage…) but I think it wasn’t a good idea. We’ll try to find some time to correct that! (an open-source solution, of course!)
But thanks a lot for your feedback!
We’re a little bit late on the manuel but it may be available at the end of the month! We’ll also make some video-tutorial and the help of the community may be great. We’ll post some information about how to help us at the beginning of September.
Thanks for the response, I’m sure I’m just missing something very obvious here.
Firstly I’m using a Macbook Pro OS 10.6.8, Iannix version0.8.21, isadora version 1.3.0f9.
Both programmes are running locally on one machine
I start Iannix and open a pre built example and run it, then open isadora, I click the Communications/Stream Setup dropdown in izzy and click the ‘auto detect input button but nothing appears?? see imageIannixIntrfce.png[/attachment:gn34cigh] – I have tested TouchOSC with it and it works fine. I have tried typing various TCP numbers in from Iannix -see pic- but nothing, it would appear that Iannix is sending data – see picIannixIntrfce.png[/attachment:gn34cigh]
I don’t know if this makes any sense to you, communication via networks etc isn’t really my thing however I have hooked up Wiimote and TouchOSC to it in the past with no hitches.
I can think of some interesting uses for this software collaboration if I ever get it running. Maybe an example iannix/issy setup would be good, if i ever work it out I’ll post one. I have also posted to the Izadora Forum but no response as yet.
Oh I have tried the MIDI inputs also in izzy and Isadora does see Iannix but the actors do not see any data.
All the best
bob
This might help : http://liine.net/livecontrol/ableton-liveapi/liveosc/
It gives osc capabilities to live. I am about to try it.
