No luck yet. Any method of getting iannix to sende messages to Live internally woulde be great wonderful….., I just cannot get these two to see each other.
Hi!
Yes it is possible. Which software are you using behind IanniX ?
A simple way of adding a trigger is to send via OSC the following messages (please respect this order) from your 3rd party software :
add trigger auto
setPos current x y z
setMesssage current 1,osc://…
(replace x, y, z, … with custom values)
This will add a trigger at position (x,y,z) with an OSC message.
Hi!
To be honnest, we didn’t develop the JS-engine, it is included in QtScript from Qt and I don’t really know if it is possible… Does somebody have more information on QtScript and 3rd party libs ?
Hmmm sorry Anthony, I didn’t test with CSound…
Hi Dick!
I didn’t develop the SC patch, I’ll ask the developer to give me some info about a potential Gendy’s bug 🙂
Hi!
Today, it is not possible through UI. The only way is with JS but I know that is not really usable. We are making a documentation that may help you, it will be available in mi-august.
Thanks.
I solved my SVN problems, IanniX 0.8.21 source code is now online on Google Code!
Nice — I shall soon dive in.
Working on Sunday?!
À bientôt,

Hi!
got it working by sending the following messages (via csound):
OSCsend 1, « », 1234, « », « s », « /iannix/add trigger auto »
OSCsend 1, « », 1234, « », « s », « /iannix/setPos current 0 0 0 »
But what if I want to do it within Iannix? I suppose I’ve to use « direct:// » to send whatever message i’d like?
Hi AvantGuy,
how did you have the linux version running?
Under Ubuntu (9.10) when launching the sh script I’ve Segmentation Fault… any help will be really appeciated 😀
Vallste, I’m running with kernel 2.6.35.13-91 via Fedora-14. As for my Iannix installation, I simply let it reside right in my download directory where I de-archived it from Iannix’s distro. In my home directory I made symlinks to these Iannix subdirectories: Documentation, Examples, imageformats, Patches, Project, and Tools. On my desktop, I created a symlink to the executable, and just launch it from that. I believe my first successful launch required running the script, iannix.sh, but my memory of that initial skirmish is fading a bit.
Hth,

I don’t have M4L, but I wondered about the same thing. I hope one of the M4L users will jump in here to enlighten us.

Hello All,
first thanks for IanniX, and for this *new* IanniX. Like always is a inspiration.
I’m using Lua scripting to send OSC messages to IanniX. I’m able to create different objects,
but i’m not able to send a play message.
My attempts was sending (osc://…) /iannix/play, /iannix/transport/play, etc. with no luck.
Is this possible via OSC?
What i would like is write a Lua script that create a score, play the score and receive the messages from score again in the script that drive Csound (using Csound API for Lua).
For now my only stop is this play (to Iannix) message!
Thanks,
ciao,
francesco.

I’ve updated my working copy with the exception of my branched IanniX.pro. I have a clean 0.8.21 build and am now testing under XP/Sp3 …now looking to break something in order to fix it :–)
Will try to find some time to explore a Linux build and also learn more about making RPMs. Are there still issues, Guillaume, with those Qt OSX libs?
Cheers,

Hello,
when I run the midi example, i get an error
RtMidiOut::sendMessage: error sending MIDI message.
