Thanks a lot for this clear answer. Sorry not to have found it. I did not pay attention to the format of the OSC messages:
/iannix/speed $1 (without space between /tags)
It seems that the “/setpos <target> <x> <y> <z>” message is not recognized. The center message looks quite similar but the position is not send out by IanniX.
I also noticed that IanniX control messages send by max through UDP seem not to be updated in the inspector, which should only be ok if you know perfectly all the controls, but difficult to understand if you are learning the software.
Best regards
Roland
Thanks a lot Guillaume for your answers.
I use an Apple Magicmouse on a MacBookPro, but the same problem happens also with other mouses on other Macs. When clicking one IanniX interface to add points to a spline or a “smooth curve”, it happens all the time that I cannot release my finger early enough and that IanniX creates several points instead of a sigle one.
In the same kind of idea, the magic mouse lateral movement switches very fast between the inspector tabs. I then have to disable this command in my mouse settings, otherwise it is impossible to work with Iannix. Could it me 10 or 100 time slower ?
Best regards
Roland
Oups, Sorry the ‘/center’ message works perfectly, but I had to restart IanniX.
Hello,
I’ll be working on a project for music therapy with children and I’m trying to explore the possibilites that your software brings.
I’ve downloaded both the 64 bit and the 32 bit dmg files but everytime I get an error message that says it cannot open image disk file because the dmg is not recognized.
I hope you can help me, otherwise I might have to explore other possibilities.
Hi!
Sounds like a download problem more than a bug… IanniX works for sure on 10.6.x but your DMG seems damaged. Sorry for this basic answer but can you just try to download it again? What is your web browser?
same thing happened to me running in Mac OSX 10.6.8
Both 64 bit and 32 versions for 0.9.16
I could only install version 0.9.15, 32 bit
Hi!
I think it’s the same bug: https://github.com/buzzinglight/IanniX/IanniX/issues/7
See my last answer.
Guillaume.
Hello people of Iannix,
I’ve been using Iannix for some time and I am really happy with the results I get.
Now I’m investigating to get iannix running on an amrv7 linux distribution.
Is it possible to compile relatively hassle free Iannix for the armv7 architecture?
And if so, is it possible to run iannix from the commandline with a gui?
Hope you can help
thanks
Hi!
We’ve never experiment this. IanniX is 98% based on Qt framework and I’m not sure it has been ported to arm. If you try such experiements, don’t hesitate to give us your results, positive or negative ones!
Thanks for using IanniX 🙂
Guillaume.
Ok will try to see if I can manage to compile it for arm.
what does that 2% contain?
Libraries like rtmidi (for MIDI support) or muparser (for equation parsing) but they are written in pure C/C++ so it should compile.
Hi, any news about a 3d import tool?
thanks`a lot, it’a a great software
Bonjour,
Voici ma nouvelle expérimentation basée sur l’exemple de la fractale.
Logiciels: Iannix + Max-Msp + Ableton
A bientôt et Vive Iannix !
Et vive les couleurs (vives) !
Not yet… We hope to find a project/development with IanniX that requires this feature!
