Hi Iannix,
I just upgraded to 0.8.4 and have a problem with cursors
they don’t loop and length is set to 62825,57s

it happens on all newly created curves ( UI or scripted ) and almost all example curves ( but not IanniX logo for example )
any idea ?
Thanks

Hi!
Sorry for this bug, we didn’t see that before releasing :(.
Of course it’ll be fixed in 0.8.41, released in a few days.
Thanks for debugging with us!
I’ve wanted something like this years. I had the idea several years but like the technical know-how. I was even recently studying on how to properly develop an application like this and now you have it. Thank you. Much better than I imagined.
Thanks a lot! Hope that you’ll produce great pieces with IanniX!
Do you think you can offer more script examples?
For example there’s an example that includes:
function addATrigger() {
//Insert the code to add and configure a trigger here
//Normally the function addATrigger() would have parameters to pass
//it the required features of the trigger to add.
}
Can you show more of what can be done in a function such as this?
Who here has read this book or researched the topic?

I feel as though it could be a compendium to Iannix.
Hi!
All the example provided with IanniX (on the bottom right of the IanniX window) are scripts! And the example “Simple Javascript example (basic)” is maybe good to begin with JavaScript.
Hope it can help you,
I’m curious if anyone can recommend an effective way to assign triggers to Ableton Live controls. The only thing I can think of is to set up the MIDI mapping mode in Ableton Live, then make sure that only a specific trigger I want is about to send data to Live. I’m curious if there’s a more manual way I can do this without having to play a score within Iannix. For example, the ability to click on the triggers as a means of sending out data to Ableton Live.
No clicking on the trigger, but shift+double-clicking 🙂 (only IanniX 0.8.41 and more).
The same for curves!
All the editor shortcuts are displayed at the bottom of the window, when your cursor is on the score.
Hi!
I experience the same bug on my MacBook (white plastic from 2008 😉 ).
It’s a 2.2 GHz Intel Cor 2 Duo, 4GB Ram, Graphic Chipset GMA X3100 (144 MB VRam).
Iannix runs flawlessly on my MacBook Pro (Unibody 2010, they already have an actual graphics card…)
Other than those funky triangles it runs nicely!
Regards!
Oh, and btw: It’s both Mac OS 10.6.8, latest Iannix
Hi, I’m a longtime max user who just discovered Iannix and I think it’s pretty exciting. I have some very simple/silly beginner questions that I haven’t been able to answer by looking at the documentation.
1. How do I make the cursor travel back and forth instead of traveling from start to finish and stopping? Or, can I make the cursor begin again once it reaches the end of its path?
2. In 3D mode, I can’t seem to add any points, lines or curves. How do I expand outward and draw on the Z axis?
Hello. I’m certainly a noob here, but this software looks great! I was just wondering if anyone has used this competently with Propellerheads Reason?
hi,
i know the manual actually exist, but a question arose while browsing it : there are apparently two different flavors of the manual, one on line, and one off line. Both seem related to latest release (0.8.42), but the offline declination has more tabs, yet the ‘reference’ tab seems to feature less content, even if said content is more ordonated and nicer… which documentation should i use ?
And more than that, i’ve been looking for some video tutorial on youtube, which don’t seem to exist. But is there a non video tutorial ? it could be nice…
anyway thanks !
Found a couple of bugs in 0.8.42 beta.
1) When drawing a straight curve with both snap to x and y-grid turned on and a grid size of 1 second a curve of 1 grid unit high shows up in the inspector as having a height of 1.10s.., a curve of 2 grid units high shows up as 2.20s.., etc. This same thing happens with other grid sizes as well. Drawing a horizontal curve has the same issue as well.
2) With both snap to x and y-grid turned on and a grid size of 500ms and moving objects by dragging them, they only snap to every other grid unit. Doing the same with smaller grid sizes is even worse.
Is there a way to manipulate an objects properties from another software using the objects LABEL?
For example if I have an object labeled “MyObj” I would like to do something like
/iannix/MyObj/setPos 0.0 3.0 0.0
If not I think it would make a nice addition.
Thank you,
Ant
